1. About us
These Terms & Conditions of Sale apply to purchases from Blue Cap Timber. Our business address is 33 Cronan's Well park Mooretown Swords Co. Dublin. You can contact us at info@bluecaptimber.ie or 089 438 1744.
2. Products and product information
We make and sell timber products, including outdoor play, garden and household timber products. Product photographs, dimensions, descriptions, finishes and other information are intended to help you understand the item before ordering. Timber is a natural material, so colour, grain, knots and other natural characteristics can vary from photographs and samples.
Many products are made after an order is received. Where a product is available in standard specifications, being manufactured after purchase does not by itself change any statutory consumer rights that apply to the order.
3. Custom and personalised products
Where you ask us to manufacture a product to your individual specifications, dimensions, wording, finish, design or other personal requirements, the item may be considered made to your specifications or clearly personalised. This can affect the statutory right to cancel a distance contract for a change of mind. We will identify material customisation requirements before production where reasonably possible.
This does not remove your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.
4. Prices and payment
Prices shown on the website are in euro. The total payable, including any applicable delivery charge and accepted discount, is shown before you proceed to secure payment. Payment is processed through Stripe. We do not store your complete card number in the Workshop order system.
An order is not treated as successfully paid until payment has been confirmed by our payment provider.
5. Order acceptance
After successful payment, we normally send an order confirmation to the email address supplied at checkout. We may contact you if there is an obvious pricing error, product availability problem, delivery issue or other problem preventing us from fulfilling the order. Where we cannot fulfil an accepted paid order, we will arrange an appropriate refund.
6. Production and lead times
Our products are generally made to order. Any production or lead time is an estimate unless we have expressly agreed a fixed date with you. We will take reasonable steps to keep you informed of material delays.
7. Delivery and collection
You must choose delivery or collection before payment. Delivery availability and the charge applicable to your destination are displayed during checkout. Collection orders do not require a delivery address. Please see our Delivery & Collection Policy for further information.
8. Your right to cancel
Where the statutory right to cancel a distance contract applies, consumers generally have a 14-day cancellation period. Exceptions can apply, including for goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. Full details, including how to tell us you wish to cancel, are set out in our Returns, Cancellations & Refunds Policy.
9. Faulty or non-conforming goods
Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights relating to faulty goods, goods that are not as described, or goods that otherwise fail to conform to the sales contract. Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible if there is a problem so we can investigate and provide the remedy required by applicable consumer law.
10. Information you provide
You are responsible for checking the delivery or collection choice, address, contact information, product selection, dimensions and any custom instructions you provide. If you notice an error after ordering, contact us promptly. Once a genuinely personalised/custom build has entered production, changes may not be possible.
11. Events outside our reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, but we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and contact you where the delay materially affects your order.
12. Complaints
Please contact info@bluecaptimber.ie with your order number and a clear description of the issue. We aim to deal with complaints fairly and as quickly as reasonably possible.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Irish law. If you are a consumer, nothing in this clause deprives you of mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
